A Steeper, More Exposed Extension of the Wall
Wall North marks the deeper and more vertical continuation of the main Wall dive site, offering a dramatic descent where the reef drops away into open blue water. The slope becomes steeper here, with sections that feel almost vertical, giving divers a sense of flying alongside the reef. The structure is more rugged than the central Wall, with sharper contours and narrower ledges.
Dynamic Conditions and Depth Variety
This northern section is known for slightly stronger currents and a more exposed position, which adds a sense of movement and energy to the dive. Depths typically range from 20 to 32 m, allowing divers to explore different layers of the wall depending on experience and conditions. The changing angles of the slope create shifting light patterns that highlight the reef’s textures.
Reef Life Along the Drop
Wall North attracts a steady flow of reef fish that gather along the ledges and crevices, creating lively scenes against the backdrop of the drop-off. Schools of fusiliers, surgeonfish and snappers often sweep past, while scorpionfish, morays and lionfish hide among the corals. The site’s exposure also increases the chance of spotting free-swimming species cruising along the wall.
A Dive for Confident Explorers
Because of its depth and occasional current, Wall North is best suited to divers who enjoy deeper profiles and are comfortable maintaining buoyancy along a vertical structure. The combination of dramatic topography, active marine life and excellent visibility makes it a rewarding dive for those seeking a more adventurous version of the classic northern wall experience.
