Colorado is a renowned south‑east coast dive site located off Mahébourg and Pointe d’Esny, known for its dramatic reef formations, deeper profile and excellent visibility. Sitting around 30–35 m, it is considered one of the region’s “5‑Star” dives for experienced divers.

A Rugged Outer‑Reef Landscape

Colorado is characterised by large coral blocks, ridges and natural channels shaped by currents along the outer reef. The terrain creates a dramatic underwater landscape with plenty of structure to explore.

A Deep 35‑Meter Profile

With depths ranging from 30 to 35 m, Colorado is a true deep dive requiring good air management and buoyancy control. The deeper sections offer soft light, open space and a strong sense of immersion.

Pelagic Encounters

The site’s exposure to ocean currents brings in trevallies, tunas, barracudas and other fast‑moving pelagics. Schools of fusiliers and snappers gather along the reef, adding movement and colour.

Clear Water and Strong Relief

The south‑east coast often provides excellent visibility, highlighting the contours of the reef and the contrast between coral ridges and sandy channels. The combination of depth and clarity makes Colorado a visually striking dive.
