Anemone Garden

Anemone Garden is a colourful mid‑depth dive site located off Mahébourg and Pointe d’Esny. With depths between 12 and 18 m, it features carpets of anemones, soft corals and gentle conditions suitable for beginner and intermediate divers.

The site offers a mix of coral blocks, sandy channels and vibrant reef life, making it a popular choice for relaxed exploration and underwater photography in the south‑east lagoon area.

A Reef Covered in Anemones

The site is named for its dense patches of anemones that sway with the current. These colonies attract clownfish, damselfish and a variety of small reef species.

Colourful Coral Blocks

Scattered coral heads host butterflyfish, wrasses, angelfish and the occasional octopus or juvenile moray eel. Macro photographers enjoy nudibranchs and small invertebrates hidden among the anemones.
