Canyon

Canyon is a deep reef dive site located off Flic en Flac on the west coast of Mauritius. With depths ranging from 17 to 35 m, it features steep coral walls and long sandy corridors that form a dramatic canyon-like landscape.

The site offers excellent visibility, vibrant marine life and a sense of depth that appeals to advanced divers. Its natural channels and rock formations make it one of the most scenic dives on the west coast.

A Dramatic Underwater Canyon

The site is defined by deep sandy channels bordered by volcanic rock and coral ridges. These formations create a canyon-like structure that is both impressive and easy to navigate.

A Deep 17–35 Meter Profile

The depth range makes Canyon suitable for advanced divers. The deeper sections offer a sense of immersion and often host larger reef species.

Rich Marine Life

Snappers, groupers, goatfish, parrotfish and wrasses are common. Moray eels, stingrays and the occasional turtle can be found along the canyon walls.

Excellent Visibility

The west coast is known for clear water and stable conditions, allowing divers to fully appreciate the scale and structure of the canyon.
